Join us on the journey to the 2016 Pacific Pole and Aerial Championships. We have these helpful workshops planned along with extra Sunday Open Studios.
Workshops are 1.5 hours ($30) followed by a one hour open studio. If you pay for the workshop, you can attend that day’s open studio for free. We need a minimum of 4 students to sign up in order to hold the class. We will cancel the workshop if we do not have the minimum signed up. If you sign up and don’t attend, we won’t be able to refund.
12/20/2015 – 2016 PPAC Kickoff with Renee and CK
Join us to learn how to start training, choreographing, setting a performance timeline, finding costumes, finalizing music, building your character and setting your personal goals! We will be working out during this session too! Come ready to work, take notes and ask questions. All levels Pole and Lyra performers welcomed.
1/3/2016 Trick Runs with Kimmy
Kimmy will help you with putting full runs together. Help solve problems that you are having with trick runs you are working on and give tips for building trick runs specific to your level. This is specific to pole performers. All levels welcome.
1/10/2016 – Training for Competition with Natalie
Competition prep is extremely taxing on our bodies, and if you don’t have a game plan to stay lean, mean, and injury free, you NEED this workshop. Learn how to competition prep like a professional athlete in this workshop that covers all the bases. You’ll learn exercises and techniques on how to properly condition and avoid injuries, and what a healthy training schedule looks like. Optional time can be spent on nutrition, specific injuries, and other questions. Natalie is a Master Personal Trainer with a specialization in athletes.
1/31/2016 – Floorwork with Caitlin
Great performances use all levels …from the floor to dancing in the sky. Caitlin will introduce you to movement that gets you on and off your apparatus as well as moving between poles. All levels of pole and lyra performers are welcome.
2/7/2016 – Character Building and Musicality with Jessica
It is time in the journey to really commit to your character and the integrity of your movement to communicate that character. Jessica will have exercises for the group and help with individual critiques that the group can help participate in to encourage and learn from each other.
